Angel Tears
Angel tears Rain down from the sky, Tears overflowing From such sad, deep eyes. Her teasing laughter Is quiet today, I hear only silence Coming my way. Dear sweet angel, Why do you cry? Why are there angel tears Falling from your eyes? The sun won’t shine If you cry today, And the hours will be long, Wet, and gray. So dear angel, Dry your flowing tears, And God’s loving hand Will soothe away your fears. Let your sweet laughter Echo in the wind, And man will know peace
